This is a technical death metal band from Iraq.
If I just stoped here, it would be cool enough for me. But this guys have more.
Well, there’s Nile who plays middle-eastern influenced death metal, but who has more authority to do this as a genuine Iraqi band?
Although they do use the eastern music influences on the riffs along the songs, the more accentuated stuff comes in the intros as in “The Horns of Hattin” and “The Anunnaki”. I’d like they could use more of the percussion and local instruments in the middle of the songs as well.
“Whores of Babylon”
They tag themselves as Mesopotamian Death Metal, Middle Eastern Metal.
