Degenerate Music was a term coined in Germany during the war era. It was a way to classify any music that wasn’t allowed by the nazi government. You can learn more about it here.
On the context of this site, past 70 years of this, Degenerate Music is everything that is of easy assimilation. It’s the music that your friends don’t know about.
If you play this kind of music, you probably know the feeling. You work so hard to make it and when you it to your friends, they simply don’t get. They don’t like it, they don’t support. We’re the outcasts.
It’s probably also difficult to fit it into a single label. You have a very ecclectic musical background and you put all your influences into a blender and that degenerate music is what you get.
So this site is for these people, the degenerate musicians out there. It’s a place to call a home.
We will do mostly interview with bands from the most different styles and bring them some exposure here. If you’re in a band, please get in touch.
We’ll also cover topics that are of interest of music nerds like us. If you’re a blog too, please get in touch.
